I WRITE BIOS.

I am a puzzle, game, and immersive experience designer; violinist, violist, and composer; letterboxer; printmaker; origamist; and software engineer. I am an avid collector of niche hobbies, and I’ve managed to make some of them into my career.

I studied music and computer science at Wesleyan University, then spent the following few years working as a software engineer at a large tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area. All the while, my love for puzzle hunts, escape rooms, and alternate reality games continued to grow, and in 2019, I left tech to pursue puzzle design full-time.

PUZZLES

With my studio Enigmida, I’ve worked with numerous companies, brands, and individuals to create magical, puzzle-filled experiences.

I also continue to solve puzzles at a breakneck pace: I've played 700+ escape rooms, and I've contributed 300+ reviews, articles, and interviews to Room Escape Artist. I've also participated in dozens of puzzle hunts, and my team won the 2021 MIT Mystery Hunt.

MUSIC

I play fiddle with Baymele, a klezmer and Eastern European folk trio. In 2022, we released a new album with Tsvey Brider entitled Kosmopolitn. I played violin in the critically-acclaimed 2022 production of Indecent at the San Francisco Playhouse.
