I WRITE BIOS.

I’m a puzzle and immersive experience designer, fiddler, writer, letterboxer, printmaker, and origamist. I am an avid collector of niche hobbies, and I’ve managed to turn some of them into my career.

I studied music and computer science at Wesleyan University, then spent the following few years working as a software engineer at Google. All the while, my love for puzzle hunts, escape rooms, and alternate reality games continued to grow, and in 2019, I left tech to pursue puzzle design full-time.

With my company Enigmida, I’ve created magical, puzzle-filled, perception-shifting experiences for a wide range of audiences, from a Michelin 3-star restaurant’s anniversary puzzle hunt to an international treasure hunt hidden in a curiosity-centric design journal. I even worked as the in-house puzzle designer at Jane Street.

Meanwhile, I’ve continued to solve puzzles at a breakneck pace: I've played 900+ escape rooms. I've written 300+ reviews, articles, and interviews for Room Escape Artist. I've also participated in dozens of puzzle hunts, and I was on the winning team of the MIT Mystery Hunt in 2021 and 2025.

In the music realm, I play fiddle with Baymele, a klezmer and Eastern European folk trio. We’ve played concerts all over the world, and we’ve released 2 albums: Sapling (2025) and Kosmopolitn (2022) with Tsvey Brider. I’ve also dipped my toe into theater, playing violin in the critically-acclaimed 2022 production of Indecent at the San Francisco Playhouse.
