I WRITE BIOS.

I am a puzzle and immersive experience designer; violinist, violist, and composer; letterboxer; printmaker; origamist; and (ex) software engineer. I am an avid collector of niche hobbies, and I’ve managed to make some of them into my career.

I studied music and computer science at Wesleyan University, then spent the following few years working as a software engineer at a large tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area. All the while, my love for puzzle hunts, escape rooms, and alternate reality games continued to grow, and in 2019, I left tech to pursue puzzle design full-time.

PUZZLES

With my studio Enigmida, I’ve worked with numerous companies, brands, and individuals to create magical, puzzle-filled experiences.

I also continue to solve puzzles at a breakneck pace: I've played 750+ escape rooms, and I've contributed 300+ reviews, articles, and interviews to Room Escape Artist. I've also participated in dozens of puzzle hunts, and I’ve been on the winning team of the MIT Mystery Hunt in 2021 and 2025.

MUSIC

I play fiddle with Baymele, a klezmer and Eastern European folk trio. In 2022, we released an album with Tsvey Brider entitled Kosmopolitn, and our next album will be out in Spring 2025. I played violin in a critically-acclaimed 2022 production of Indecent at the San Francisco Playhouse.
